Professional Career
Alan Picasso Romero began his professional boxing career on March 25, 2017, with a split decision victory against Jose Antonio Arellano Lopez at the Gimnasio Municipal in Palenque. This debut win marked the start of a promising career. On April 29, 2017, Picasso secured a unanimous decision victory over Rogelio Armenta at the Gimnasio Manuel Bernardo Aguirre in Chihuahua, showcasing his growing skills and determination in the ring. Picasso’s early career saw a series of impressive victories, including a first-round TKO against Jose Gallardo on June 10, 2017, at the Gimnasio Municipal in Guaymas. He continued to build his reputation with a knockout win over Oscar Espinoza on August 12, 2017, at Gimnasio Nuevo León Unido in Monterrey. This series of wins set the tone for his ascent in the super bantamweight division.
A significant milestone came on October 26, 2019, when Picasso faced Victor Proa at Plaza de Toros La Union in Ameca. Picasso won by RTD in the third round, further establishing his dominance. Another notable victory was on December 21, 2019, when he defeated Anthony Jimenez Salas by unanimous decision at Deportivo Morelos Pavon in Mexico City, capturing the vacant WBC Youth Intercontinental Super Bantam title.
