Fans Rip De La Hoya Over His Physique – ‘Liposuction, BBL’
Oscar De La Hoya has responded to claims that he has fake abs after receiving much criticism on social media.
De La Hoya is a six-time world champion, making him one of the best boxers of all time. However, his life was marred by substance abuse, something which he has been vocal about. The Golden Boy promoter tries to keep himself in shape, sometimes posting footage of his training. However, his ab muscles have been a source of contention. The following footage shows De La Hoya’s abs well-defined.
But at 51-years-old, some have questioned whether they are real as Oscar looks to have rolled back the clock. De La Hoya has now cleared up those claims. He admitted that he underwent etching, a procedure similar to liposuction, where the fat is moved to allow the abs to become more defined. While that may have been the case, he denied putting anything in his body. That mean the onus was on Oscar to keep up with his work and diet to remain in good shape.
De La Hoya Reacts
“This is what happened; there are no fake abs; you can’t get fake abs. It’s called etching, where the plastic surgeon goes in. It’s kind of like liposuction, but he etches your abs. My abs are already there, so they just etch them in between so they pop out more, and that’s all it is. Now it’s up to me to keep these abs because I must work out and eat right. But they are mine, and it’s real,” De La Hoya said
A large part of that transformation has been credited to his partner, Holly Sonders. Holly is 37-years-old. De La Hoya revealed that her influence was vital in him staying in good shape as he considered giving up training and enjoying his money. At the same time, Oscar has been posting more revealing content on social media.
De La Hoya’s Mindset
He recently did a parody using Ryan Garcia’s song, ‘I’m Blessed,’ which featured him and Holly celebrating their lavish lifestyle. But when it comes to boxing, De La Hoya is not everyone’s cup of tea. He recently butted heads with Canelo Alvarez, who accused him of trying to steal his money.
They nearly came to blows at the Jaime Munguia presser, after which De La Hoya sued him for defamation. Their bad blood has continued since then, with no signs that they will ever reconcile. Although Oscar may divide opinion, he praised Holly’s influence on his life.
“I want to look good and feel good. I have my partner, Holly, who is probably the most beautiful, sexiest woman alive ever, and I have to keep up. But I want to look good for her. “I have to admit when I met her, I said I was not going to train anymore. I am going to be lazy and enjoy all of my money. But guess what? She motivates me every single day,” De La Hoya stated
