Fans React To Malik Scott Training Ex-Man City Footballer Micah Richards

Fans have reacted to Malik Scott training former Manchester City footballer Micah Richards.
Scott is currently a trainer for Deontay Wilder. But he has received mass criticism over how the Bronze Bomber has been looking. They first worked together for the third Tyson Fury fight during which Wilder was knocked out in the 11th round. Since then, they have had four fights in total. They have only secured one win against Robert Helenius when Wilder stopped him in the first round. They have had losses against Joseph Parker and Zhilei Zhang.
The Parker defeat was devastating. It prevented an Anthony Joshua fight from going ahead. Just when Wilder had signed a two-fight fight deal, the fight was dependent on Wilder coming out on top. The Bronze Bomber had the opportunity to set things right when he faced Zhang. However, the Chinese heavyweight knocked him out in the fifth round. This raised speculation that Wilder may walk away from the sport. However, Scott confirmed that Wilder still has plans to fight again. They are eying future fights against Joshua and Francis Ngannou.
Scott On Wilder
“Zhang is a very big, dangerous southpaw. Deontay got caught with a shot that put him in an unbalanced position, and Zhang did his job. Deontay has the heart of a lion and is willing to go out on his shield in the ring. He’ll be back. Deontay will fight again.
“He still has a bright future in boxing, especially at the high level. Losses happen in boxing, even to the greatest fighters. Right now, he’s doing very well; recovering, enjoying life, and heavily involved in real estate and investing. He just had a great vacation with his kids. Life is good for him,” Scott stated
The main criticism directed towards Scott has been that Wilder’s main assets, his right hand and jab, have been non-existent. Wilder was known for his athleticism and jab, which was used to set up the right hand. However, under Scott, it appears that he is attempting to make Wilder box more rather than rely on his instincts. Wilder is not known for being the best technically skilled boxer. However, his power and right hand enabled him to become the WBC Heavyweight Champion. He defended the belt successfully ten times before losing it to Fury.
Scott With Richards
While Scott has received criticism for what he is doing with Wilder, he took some time to share his knowledge with Richards. The following clip shows Micah hitting the pads under Scott’s direction. The pair appear to have a good chemistry, especially since Scott’s wife is a presenter alongside Richards. But the reaction from boxing fans was far from pleasant. They mocked Scott and advised Richards not to train with him since he would get him knocked out.
Despite the criticism, Wilder appears content with keeping Scott, who faces a battle to rejuvenate Deontay’s career.
