Fans React To Lopez Vs. Stevenson Undercard

The full undercard has been announced for the Teofimo Lopez vs. Shakur Stevenson card, set for January 31 at Madison Square Garden.
Keyshawn Davis (13-0, 9 KO) moves up to 140 to face Jamaine Ortiz. Davis’ 2025 started strong with a WBO lightweight title win over Denys Berinchyk in February, but he lost his belt on the scales after missing weight for his first defense against Edwin De Los Santos.
“I hate what happened, but what happened is going to change me. I hate what happened, but what happened is going to change me,” Davis, 26, said during an August interview on “The Ariel Helwani Show,” Davis stated
Meanwhile, Ortiz was meant to face IBF Junior Welterweight Champion Richardson Hitchins, but he pulled out. Now, he has the chance to face the WBO’s number-one-ranked contender, knowing a win puts him in a mandatory position for the full title currently held by Teofimo Lopez.
“This is a great Christmas present and a massive way to start 2026. It’s win or go home. I’m going to capitalize on this opportunity and then challenge the Lopez-Stevenson winner,” Ortiz stated
Other Fights
The January 31 lineup is packed with the following match-ups:
- Bruce “Shu Shu” Carrington vs. Carlos Castro: This is for the vacant WBC featherweight title. Carrington (16-0, 9 KO) steps in after Stephen Fulton’s attempt to move up in weight resulted in him being stripped. Castro (30-3, 14 KO) is a surprising choice for a title shot, having lost to Fulton over two years ago and holding an 0-3 record against top-tier contenders.
- Carlos Adames vs. Austin “Ammo” Williams: Adames (24-1-1, 18 KO) defends his WBC middleweight title. With Janibek Alimkhanuly sidelined by a failed drug test, many view Adames as the division’s best fighter. Williams (19-1, 13 KO) gets his first title shot after rebounding with three wins following his 2024 loss to Hamzah Sheeraz.
- Jarrell “Big Baby” Miller vs. Kingsley Ibeh: Miller (26-1-2, 22 KO) looks for his first win since 2023. He faces Ibeh (16-2-1, 14 KO), who has won 11 straight fights.
- Ziyad Almaayouf vs. Kevin Castillo: Saudi prospect Almaayouf (7-0-1) continues his development against Castillo (5-2-1).
