Duarte enters the bout in fine form, having rebounded strongly since his loss to Ryan Garcia in 2023. Under the guidance of trainer Robert Garcia, Duarte became the first fighter to stop former world champion Jo Jo Diaz, followed by a gritty win over Batyr Akhmedov.
