Fans Predict Mary Spencer Vs. Mikaela Mayer – ‘Round 5 Finish’

Mary Spencer defends her WBA Junior Middleweight Title against Mikaela Mayer, as fans picked their winner.
Spencer secured her belt after initially claiming the WBA Interim Junior Middleweight title by defeating Naomi Mannes in September 2024. Spencer was later elevated to the full WBA Champion after Terri Harper chose to vacate the title. In her most recent outing, Spencer successfully defended her title for the first time by earning a unanimous decision victory over Ogleidis Suarez.
Meanwhile, Mayer is attempting to make history by becoming a three-weight world champion, having previously held titles at 130 and 147 pounds. Mayer enters this fight after a successful title defense at welterweight, where she defeated Sandy Ryan for the second time to retain her WBO Welterweight Title. The fight will also include the vacant WBO and WBC belts, thus increasing the stakes.
Pre-Fight
“She stands right there and goes toe-to-toe. But that would be a huge mistake for her against me. I have to go in this fight expecting her to come up with the best game plan possible, but I don’t know what that will be. The only other thing you can do besides stand there and bang is move. But I don’t think her feet are better than mine, and I have never seen her fight like that before. I think there is a very good chance I can stop Mikaela Mayer,” Spencer stated
“I have been working for so long. I have always said this: the jump from 130 is a lot, and it takes time. It’s been a couple of years, and I am now really beginning to see that strength come through. My body has filled out. I am so wanting the stoppage for sure. I do have the ability to get Mary Spencer out of there,” Mayer said
