Fans gave their predictions for Jaron Ennis vs. Uisma Lima’s WBA 154 title eliminator this weekend.

The pressure is on Ennis to perform, as he makes his debut at 154 pounds. He arrives into the fight having unified at 147, stopping Eimantas Stanionis which made him the IBF and WBA Welterweight Champion. While it was the biggest win of his career, he has yet to have a major win on his resume, which has not been helped as he ditched his plans to become undisputed at 147 by moving up to junior middleweight.

Lima has nothing to lose, as he is a massive underdog. He has had the best possible preparation for this fight, having racked up four consecutive wins. He has promised to shock the world, as the question remains if he can back up his words. Here is how the fans saw the fight playing out.

“I think he’s [Ennis] the complete fighter. Certainly, one of the best fighters I have been in the gym with, and I’ve been in the gym with a lot of good fighters over the last 10-15 years. He’s right up there. The aggressiveness, the defence, the skills, the speed. He’s the full package. It was difficult, but I held it together. I helped him out and did what was asked of me in the ring. I learned a hell of a lot, surrounded myself with new coaches and new fighters. So, I would say up until now it’s been a success,” Jack Catterall said

“All my fights I’m an underdog. I know I’m an underdog. I know I have a big, big mission in Philly, been training years and years to have these big missions with big athletes. All I want is the big dogs and Jaron is a man in my way. My dream? Hard work every day and one day I will get a good opportunity like Boots and keep working to have my name in history.

“I don’t want to only be the number one in Portugal. I already did this. To me, I want Eddie Hearn and these big promoters to say. ‘Uisma Lima … this guy, you sure you want to fight with him?’ I like this, people to fear me, respect me, I want respect,” Lima stated
