Eubank Jr., Wardley, and Clarke Make Grand Arrivals Ahead Of Beterbiev-Bivol Fight Night

Chris Eubank Jr. will fight Kamil Szeremeta this weekend as they made their Grand Arrivals.

It is Eubank’s first fight since beating Liam Smith last year, which avenged his loss in the first fight. He stopped Smith under the direction of Brian McIntyre. It was a massive win since Eubank was stopped for the first time in his career, raising question marks over his future. He has his first fight with BOXXER on the biggest stage, as he fights on the Artur Beterbiev vs Dmitry Bivol card.

He was linked with a Canelo Alvarez fight, meaning he must win if he still desires to secure that. Szeremeta is 25-2-2. He has four wins out of his last five fights, with the other being a split draw in his against Abel Mina. His only losses have come against GGG and Jaime Munguia, showing he has been in with the best. Here are the two making their arrivals.

Wardley vs. Clarke

Fabio Wardley defends his British Heavyweight Title against Frazer Clarke in a highly anticipated rematch, as both men made their Grand Arrivals.

This is just six months after their thrilling first fight. It ended in a split draw after Clarke got off the canvas in the fourth round to take it to the final bell. Clarke also overcame a point deduction for a low blow, showing he could have gotten the victory had he been more disciplined. The scorecards were 114-113 for Wardley and 115-112 for Clarke. The last read 113-113, leaving it a split draw.

Wardley kept the belt, as there were question marks over whether they would go their separate ways. But the fight of the year contenders will run things back. Both men have had a different rise. Wardley boxed on unlicensed circuits before securing sparring with Dillian Whyte, who backed him. Clarke had amateur success as he secured a place at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics. He won a bronze medal, and many people tipped him to be the future of British boxing. Both men had plenty to say ahead of the clash.

Boxing Insiders

“I would go with Frazer. I think Frazer Clarke has got a lot more technical artillery, insight and understanding. The only thing Frazer’s lacking in this fight is professional experience. “We’ve not had such an even fight for a British heavyweight title for quite a while. I love this fight. I think it’s a great fight. I think it’s a tough fight for both fighters, a lot at stake for both fighters,” Johnny Nelson

“I think that’s a good fight. I’d have to be there, because I’m an Olympian I’d favour Frazer based on boxing ability, size and grit, but Wardley is another person who whenever he’s looked like he’s going to lose he’s managed to drag it back and land some haymakers. I think he’ll be feeling extremely confident, he’s been in an amazing run of form. It’s almost pedigree against run of form so we’ll see what happens. I would say Clarke on points,” Lawrence Okolie

“Fabio Wardley’s probably proven himself more at pro level, I think. Frazer Clarke’s not proven as a pro but I think he’s one of those fighters the better opponent, the better he’ll fight. I don’t think he’s really had to dig deep or do anything special to beat the guys he’s been fighting. This next one I think he will,” Callum Simpson
