Dubois Is Ready To Upset Usyk

Daniel Dubois is ready to shock the world and get a win over Oleksandr Usyk on August 26th, 2023.
The Brit faces the unified heavyweight champion after having earned the right to be his WBA mandatory.
Dubois is the heavy underdog going into the fight against the Ukrainian who is undefeated. His confidence is riding high following his back-to-back wins over Anthony Joshua, which kept his hopes of becoming undisputed alive.
However, Dubois has the chance to disrupt those plans. A win over Usyk would put him in line to face Tyson Fury for a chance to become undisputed. And by the looks of it, Dubois is ready to make history.
Dubois On Facing Usyk
“I’ve done all the hard work now. It’s time for a battle, time for a good fight. I’m so ready to fight, man. All the people that have things to say… this is boxing. If you don’t like it get out of the sport. This is it. Everything’s on you. There’s pressure. Everything. I’m an underdog and I’m just ready to rumble,” Dubois
Nevertheless, there are several factors that could impact the fight. Usyk will be fighting in front of a pro-Ukrainian crowd since the fight is in Poland due to the Russia-Ukraine conflict.
In addition, Dubois will have his first fight since leaving his trainer Shane McGuigan. Instead, the heavyweight decided to team up with Don Charles who will have the task of guiding the boxer through his toughest test.
But rather than being overwhelmed, Dubois was ready.
“Don has been great for me. I feel like the experience and the knowledge from him and the team bringing in new members as well, it’s all been adding up. My dad being there, the constant push behind me it’s going well,” Dubois
Regardless of the new training set up, it is the fighters who ultimately have to do the talking. And given that Dubois has the chance to win his first world title, he will be looking to leave everything on the line.
