David Benavidez And Demetrius Andrade Both Make Weight; Jermall Charlo Comes In Over The Limit
The super middleweight fight between David Benavidez and Demetrius Andrade is almost here, as both boxers made weight in anticipation for their super middleweight fight on November 25th, 2023.
The WBC super middleweight interim belt, which is currently held by Benavidez, is on the line with both boxers knowing that they will be the official mandatory for Canelo Alvarez’s undisputed title should they come out victorious. Benavidez is the favorite and has a victory over the former IBF super middleweight champion Caleb Plant to back that up. Meanwhile, Andrade will be hoping to follow up on his last performance against Demond Nicholson, where the boxer won on his debut at super middleweight. At the time of the weigh-in, Benavidez came in at 167 pounds. Meanwhile, Andrade weighed 167.6 pounds.
In the co-main event, Jermall Charlo and Jose Benavidez Jr. face off in a fight at 163 pounds. The former makes his comeback after his mental health battles, which will see him fight for the first time in over two years. However, things did not go to plan, as Charlo weighed in at 166.4 pounds. And when the American came back to the scales, he weighed 166.66 pounds. Nevertheless, the fight will still occur as Benavidez Jr. weighed 161.2 pounds.
