Darren Till Wants To Fight Cristiano Ronaldo

Darren Till has called for a fight against Cristiano Ronaldo and Gary Neville.

Till is scheduled to face Tommy Fury on January 18 from Manchester on an MF & DAZN: X Series 20 Misfits card. He made his boxing debut against Mohammad Mutie in Dubai this year in controversial circumstances. He secured a win after Mutie could not continue. The latter complained over rabbit punching to the back of the head. But rather than the fight get called a no-contest, Till was given the decision.

That did not sit well with Mutie as a brawl broke out. But it served as a transition into the sport of boxing following his UFC career. Till has not had a UFC fight since 2022. That is when the UFC Middleweight Champion Dricus Du Plessis secured a win in their UFC 282 clash. It was Till’s third consecutive loss. While Till has said he would be opening to returning, he also wants some big boxing fights.

Till Reacts

Ronaldo is a big fan of combat sports. He has indicated his preference for the UFC over boxing. However, he has regularly been in attendance at big boxing events. He attended the Undisputed Heavyweight Championship fight between Tyson Fury and Oleksandr Usyk as the latter won a split decision. As for Neville, Till claims he has fired verbal shots with him on X. Neville’s former teammate Wayne Rooney has been linked with a Misfits fight against KSI. Eddie Hearn has even indicated his desire to make a Jake Paul fight with Rooney. Till hoped that he would get a chance to face either Ronaldo or Neville in the boxing ring.

“Gary Neville because me and him have had Twitter beef. He doesn’t like me. Got a little bit of beef with Gary. I don’t hate the guy, but yeah, it’d probably be Gary Neville or Cristiano Ronaldo, because he seems like a big, tough fellow, Cristiano. I’d like to see his speed and power. Seems like a very explosive man. He’s obviously ripped to the gills, isn’t he? You know, he doesn’t drink Coca-Cola or anything like that. I need to take a leaf out of his book,” Till said

Ngannou And Onana

Elsewhere, Manchester United goalkeeper Andre Onana was involved in some lighthearted grappling against Francis Ngannou at the Old Trafford Stadium. Ngannou is coming off a first-round stoppage win against Renan Ferreira on his PFL debut this October. It was his first MMA fight since stopping Cyril Gane at UFC 270. It was a perfect response after Ngannou had suffered consecutive defeats in the boxing ring against Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua.

The wind solidified Ngannou’s position as one of the best heavyweights in MMA. While Ngannou is unlikely to secure a fight with Jon Jones, he is still considered one of the most popular fighters out there. This was shown during the following interaction. The video clip shows Ngannou getting involved with some grappling against Onana. They are in good spirits. Ngannou ends the exchange by getting Onana on the floor.
