Conor McGregor Testifies In His Sexual Assault Case – ‘Lies, More Lies’

Conor McGregor has testified in his sexual assault case, denying the allegations put forth against him.
The Irishman is facing a civil lawsuit after Nikita Ni Lamhain alleged that McGregor had sexually assaulted her in 2018. The two parties attended court on November 5, with the trial expected to last two weeks. Lamhain made the decision to file the lawsuit in 2021, alleging that McGregor and James Lawrence had sexual intercourse with her without her consent. It is believed the incident happened on December 9, 2018, when she was intoxicated in a hotel bedroom.

She would subsequently go to the hospital where Dr Daniel Kane, a Gynecologist, treated her following the claimed incident. Lamhain went on to state: “I tried to talk him around, that I didn’t want to have sex and wasn’t there for anything like that. He just wasn’t taking no for an answer.” Meanwhile, Dr Daniel Kane confirmed that Lamhain’s condition was “consistent with the outline of events as described by Nikita.”
Lamhain is requesting $1.79-$2.13 million in damages, arguing that she has suffered from psychological and emotional problems. McGregor and Lawrence have been vocal in denying the claims, with McGregor now testifying. McGregor reportedly claimed that Hand made the sexual advances, following him to the bathroom before performing oral sex on him. That is when the Irishman claimed they had consensual sex. The Notorious allegedly stated the following: “I was shocked and frightened beyond belief. The most scared thing I have gone through in my life. Lies and more lies.”
The Future
It is vital that McGregor resolves this as soon as possible, given the delay in his UFC career. The Irishman has not had a UFC fight since his 2021 defeat against Dustin Poirier at UFC 264. That was his third defeat in his last four fights, as he suffered a broken leg.
Since then, he has been working his way back to try to get into the octagon. He was scheduled to face Michael Chandler at UFC 303 on June 29. But the Irishman pulled out with a broken toe. Dana White did state that he expects McGregor to fight next year. However, with two fights left on his UFC deal, fans are no closer to knowing what is the next step.
The Irishman said he was said to fight Dan Hooker on February 1 in Saudi Arabia. However, the UFC has not confirmed this, meaning that McGregor is likely to wait longer. There are also suggestions that he could fight in BKFC, the organization where he is the part owner. McGregor also has opportunities in the boxing world, having regularly been linked with fights on Misfits. But the Irishman will want to resolve this before he can consider focusing his mind back to fighting. The longer the case goes on, the more difficult it will be for McGregor to return.
