Conor McGregor Claims Healing After Ibogaine Trauma Therapy

Conor McGregor says he has healed from his trauma after undergoing Ibogaine treatment in Mexico.
Ibogaine is a psychoactive substance—a hallucinogen—that has gained traction in alternative medicine circles as a potential “cure” for trauma and addiction. McGregor had previously admitted under court testimony that he has used cocaine, something he stated during his civil sexual lawsuit that was filed by Nikita Hand. McGregor is also back in training, with a view to having his first UFC fight since losing to Dustin Poirier at UFC 264 in July 2021. He has made it clear that he wants to fight at the UFC White House card in June, 2026.
McGregor Reacts
“I travelled to Tijuana Mexico and underwent Ibogaine treatment at AMBIO. Watch the Netflix documentary just released titled ‘In Waves and War’ as it is the exact place I went. It was incredible, intense, and absolutely eye opening. I was shown what would have been my death. How soon it was to be, and how it would have impacted my children. I was looking down on myself as it happened, and then I was looking out from the coffin.
“God then came to me in the Holy Trinity. He is MIGHTY! Jesus, his child. Mary, his Mother. The Archangels. All present in heaven. I was shown the light. Jesus descended from the white marble steps of heaven and anointed me with a crown. I was saved! My brain. My heart. My soul. Healed.
“I was 36 hours under before I finally rested,” McGregor wrote. “When I awoke I was me again. The most enlightening and enchanting experience I have ever undertaken. This treatment is worth its weight in GOLD! It is very, very tough, but it absolutely saved my life, and in turn saved my family.
“Thank you for all your inspiration, motivation, encouragement, well wishes, support, and most importantly, for your prayers! THEY WORKED! I am my child again. But this time with the knowledge of my adult! To my family, my friends, my fans. My support! My team! Baby, we did it! The World is in for a treat,” McGregor stated
Legal Action
Elsewhere, McGregor has been given the green light by an Irish court to proceed with a defamation lawsuit against Sky News. The legal action is focused on a public comment allegedly made by a reporter. The dispute traces back to November 22, 2024, the day a jury delivered its verdict in a civil sexual assault lawsuit. The case was brought by Nikita Hand, who alleged that McGregor sexually assaulted her in a hotel in 2018. The jury found McGregor liable for the assault and ordered him to pay Hand around $271,742 in damages.
McGregor’s legal team asserts that a Sky News reporter shouted a defamatory statement at him. The reporter allegedly called out: “Excuse me, Mr. McGregor, you are a rapist, have you any reaction or apology to the woman at the center of this?” McGregor’s lawyers argue that this public accusation constitutes defamation.
