Colby Covington Claims Sean Strickland Is Being Investigated For Pistol-Whipping

Colby Covington has said Sean Strickland is allegedly being investigated for pistol-whipping a man in Vegas.

Covington and Strickland have been criticized for their behavior outside of the Octagon. Covington received mass backlash for saying Leon Edwards’ father was ‘in hell’ during the build-up for the UFC 297 clash. Strickland has equally been criticized for his interactions with people.

Jake Paul called the former UFC Middleweight Champion a ‘bully’ for beating up influencer Sneako in sparring. Strickland responded with a death threat. The UFC fighter also lashed out at rapper Machine Gun Kelly at a Power Slap event, calling him the ‘devil’ on social media. While those incidents were maligned, no legal action was involved. But this could be about to change with Strickland’s latest problem.

Covington Reacts

“He was a washout in my division, he couldn’t handle it in my division, he got beat up, knocked out because he couldn’t cut it. He’s been hit in the head too many times, he’s got CTE. Anything that guy says you can’t follow along, that guys going literally probably going to kill someone someday. He’s under investigation right now in Vegas. Some drunk guy was wandering the streets near his home, he goes outside the home, pistol-whips the dude in the middle of the street. He’s under crazy investigation in Vegas right now. He’s gonna be going to court,” Colby Covington said

Elsewhere, ex-UFC fighters Luke Rockhold and Tyron Woodley will coach up-and-coming fighters in a new series similar to the Ultimate Fighter for Hardcore FC.

The series will be called the ‘HFC Fight Show Reality,’ and it will be filmed in the United Arab Emirates. Rockhold and Woodley will appear as coaches, although they have no plans to fight each other, unlike the coaches on the TUF series. Since they retired from the UFC, both fighters have had different journeys.

Rockhold And Woodley’s Show

Rockhold fought Mike Perry in a bareknuckle bout last year, losing a second-round TKO. He suffered several broken teeth in his only appearance in BKFC. Woodley’s last bout was a boxing bout against Jake Paul in 2021. He was stopped in the sixth round after the first fight ended in a split-decision loss for Woodley. The series will naturally be compared to the TUF series. The next season of TUF will air on June 4 via ESPN+. Alexa Grasso and Valentina Shevchenko will appear as rival coaches.

“What’s up everybody. We have just confirmed the coaches for Season 32 of The Ultimate Fighter. and it will be UFC women’s flyweight champion Alexa Grasso and former champion Valentina Shevchenko. Grasso became the 1st Mexican USC women’s champion after defeating Shevchenko and their last fight ended in a draw. Before their last 2 fights Valentina had successfully defended the belt 7 times. This show will premier on June 4th on ESPN, ESPN Deportes and ESPN+,” White stated

They have fought twice in the Octagon. Grasso won via submission to win the UFC Flyweight Belt at UFC 285 last year. The rematch at UFC Noche was controversial. Judge Mike Bell scored the last round 10-8 in favor of Grasso, making it a split draw. Many believed Shevchenko should have won. The two series have naturally gotten MMA fans talking.
