Claressa Shields Vs. Franchon Crews-Dezurn Predictions – ‘She Humbles Her’

Claressa Shields returns to defend her undisputed heavyweight belt in a rematch against Franchon Crews-Dezurn, as pros picked their winner.
The pair first met in November 2016, as both women were making their professional debuts. Shields emerged victorious, sweeping the scorecards with a 40-36 unanimous decision. Shields went on to secure undisputed championships in three separate weight classes—junior middleweight, middleweight, and heavyweight. Shields secured a dominant title defense against Lani Daniels last July. Meanwhile, Crews-Dezurn previously held the undisputed super middleweight belt. She currently holds the WBA and WBC titles at 168 lbs and arrives in Detroit following a successful defense against Citlalli Ortiz last June.
Pre-Fight
“I’m the cream of the crop. I haven’t had any close fights so I can’t say how this fight will be. If I am too good for own good, I’m only going to get better. So there’s nothing I can do about that. I like winning unanimously. I like knocking girls out. I like dominating. I think it looks great on my resume. I don’t like having close fights,” Shields said
“You’re getting a complete fighter this time. Obviously we both have way more experience now, and now I’ve had a whole camp to prepare rather than being given two-weeks notice off the couch. “It’s just taken a long time to get us in the ring together again, it should have been sooner. They didn’t want to risk her trajectory by going in with me again, which I understand — they basically wanted to age me out. She could have easily fought me at 168 [pounds] where I have been champion for years, but no,” Crews-Dezurn said
