Charlo Slams Tim Bradley – ‘Bradley Got A Lot Of Hate’
Jermell Charlo has slammed Tim Bradley after the latter’s comments about him facing Terence Crawford.
Bradley’s comments came in the aftermath of Crawford beating Errol Spence Jr. And as part of that process, Bradley made it clear in no uncertain terms that Crawford would do the same when it came to Jermell, but even quicker.
After all, Bradley was very vocal about how Crawford would have beaten Spence before he did so.
Bradley On Charlo
“He knows how to beat Charlo already. His team knows how to beat Charlo already. It’s gonna be destruction. The same if not sooner. He’ll probably stop Charlo a lot sooner,” Bradley
Those comments did not go down well with Jermell, particularly since his own status of being undisputed champion at junior middleweight was dismissed.
Not only that, but given that Charlo’s WBO belt at 154 will be stripped when he faces Canelo Alvarez at 168 on September 30th, 2023, the American has a lot of motivation to prove the doubters wrong. With that being said, Charlo did not hold back.
Charlo On Bradley
“I think Tim Bradley got a lot of hate toward a lot of things. When you dare to be great right now, you can’t worry about what Tim Bradley is saying or how he thinks. He’s an ESPN analyst. He don’t even know s**t about PBC boxing and what we possess over here. And that’s why [PBC head] Al [Haymon] got us. He signed us… I can’t be thinking about what [Bradley is] thinking. I have to stay focused on me and the game plan, and work my ass off dog,” Charlo
In reality, Jermell has achieved more than what Bradley had done in his career. Despite the latter being a former world champion, Bradley never reached the status of undisputed unlike Charlo.
While Bradley is a top boxing analyst in his own right, expecting Charlo to stay quiet is unlikely. And the same can be applied to Jermell, who should expect criticism. And there is no getting away from that.
