Charlo Backed To Beat Canelo, Diaz Vows To Silence Paul

Jermall Charlo is optimistic that his brother, Jermell Charlo, can beat Canelo Alvarez.
The two undisputed champions face each other on September 30th, 2023, as Charlo moves up two-weight divisions to super-middleweight.
Alvarez is the heavy favorite, given the weight difference between the pair. As such, there is a feeling that Charlo has bitten off more than he can chew.
Although that may be the case, Canelo’s recent performances have shown a small decline.
A comprehensive defeat to Dmitry Bivol was followed up by the failure to stop an aging Gennady Golovkin and then a 34-year-old John Ryder.
While Jermall was initially linked with fighting Canelo, the former was confident that his brother would get the victory.
Charlo’s Comments
“Charlo [wins]. We know how to beat him,” Jermall
Outside of Jermell, Jermall was also confident of his own return to the sport of boxing. The WBC middleweight champion has not fought since 2021 when he beat Juan Macias Montiel.
However, rather than being stripped, Mauricio Sulaiman confirmed that they would stand by Charlo.
This was following his personal and mental health issues. And by the looks of it, he is now ready for a comeback.
“I’ll be back before the end of the year. I promise you that,” Charlo
Diaz Will End Paul’s Career
Just as the Charlo’s are confident of getting a victory, the same goes for Nate Diaz when he faces Jake Paul on August 5th, 2023.
Diaz will make his boxing debut following a fiery pre-fight presser, as a brawl broke out between the two camps.
Diaz was very vocal about setting the record straight following Paul’s suggestions that he is a bully.
Although security on both sides intervened to prevent the brawl getting out of hand, Diaz continued his war of words in the aftermath.
He has vowed to make a big statement, as Paul’s advisor did hint that the ‘Problem Child’ may retire if he loses.
“I’ve just gotta train hard, like always, and go out there and get the job done. I’ve just got to go in there and be better than him. I think I am better than him.
“The thing about him is, he knows MMA fighters can’t box and they’re in over their heads trying to box because he went in there and worked a bunch over in training and now in fights also.
“MMA fighters don’t know this, but I’m in on the same secret and I’ve been in on that since I was 15…I was boxing the whole neighbourhood and boxing every pro I could find,” Diaz
