Chandler's Ripped Physique Shows He Is Ready McGregor - 'See You At The Top'

Michael Chandler showed off his ripped physique ahead of his UFC 303 clash with Conor McGregor

Chandler has the biggest fight of his UFC career on June 29, his first fight since losing to Dustin Poirier at UFC 281 in 2022. He chose to remain inactive by waiting for the McGregor fight, who is also having his first bout since his defeat to Poirier. McGregor lost at UFC 264 in 2021, which was accompanied by a broken leg.

Chandler’s Physique

McGregor and Chandler’s rivalry has been brewing since their days as rival coaches on the TUF 31 series. Chandler has been putting in the work to give himself the best shot at a win. The following image show Chandler doing some weight training as he shows off his shredded look. The post was captioned by the following comments: “When the pain is your pleasure and you’ve never worked a day in your life. Walk On. See you at the top.”

Chandler has shown no signs that the fight will not happen. There are still concerns after their first presser for June 3 was called off. The UFC canceled it at the last minute until further notice. Meanwhile, McGregor put it down to ‘obstacles’ which prevented it from happening. The Notorious then shared a picture of himself from the doctor’s office, raising concerns about his injury. Ariel Helwani fueled claims the fight would not happen, saying the UFC put feelers out over potential replacements. While that may be the case, Chandler expects the fight to go ahead.

Will The Fight Happen?

“Yeah, the fight’s happening. Obviously, where we are there’s a lot of speculation, but yeah, the fight is on. June 29, it’s happening…I woke up to my phone buzzing and it was Hunter Campbell. Everybody knows that Dana White is the face but Hunter is the guy behind the guy, he handles a lot of stuff behind the scenes for the UFC.

“He called me and let me know ‘Hey, it’s looking like this thing isn’t going to happen’. But it’s the layers in which ‘Okay, if the presser is cancelled is there something else going on?’ Then obviously immediately speculation starts going all over the place in 2024 with social media and all that stuff. I just kept resting on the fact that I can only control what I can control. I have been doing that now for a year and a half with this whole fight if you’ve been following it with all the different dates that have gone on and were supposed to happen but didn’t,” Chandler stated

While Chandler has been keeping himself disciplined, the same cannot be said for McGregor. He has been pictured partying at his Black Forge Pub with around a month to go. The UFC fighter has also been drinking during his time out injured. While he may have stopped drinking for this training camp, it could come back to haunt him at the highest level. There is an added expectation for McGregor to perform, as the crowd will be backing him heavily. McGregor must deliver, with the gate already setting a new UFC record of over $20 million. But that extra pressure could play into Chandler’s hands.
