Canelo And Berlanga Face Off For The Last Time – ‘I’ve Prepared For The Knockout’
The final presser for Canelo Alvarez and Edgar Berlanga took place as they prepare for battle on Saturday.
Canelo defends his WBC and WBO Super Middleweight Titles in his second fight of this year. His last fight was a unanimous decision victory against his fellow Mexican Jaime Munguia. This time around, he faces an undefeated Puerto Rican fighter in Berlanga. Berlanga has the chance to win his first world title.
He arrives into the fight full of confidence. He is 22-0, with 17 stoppage wins. Berlanga stopped Padraig McCrory in his previous bout. But that was his first knockout in his last six fights. The fight has received criticism, with Oscar De La Hoya calling it a ‘snoozefest’, which irked Berlanga, who had plenty of words to say. Both fighters were ready for war, come fight night.
