Floyd Mayweather Jr. will face John Gotti III in a rematch of their exhibition on Super Bowl weekend.

The duo initially squared off on June 11th, 2023, as a brawl broke out in the ring which resulted in the referee Kenny Baylis calling the fight to an end.

Prior to that happening, Mayweather had dominated the fight which resulted in Gotti becoming increasingly frustrated. So much so that Mayweather had resorted to mocking his opponent, who struggled to land anything of note.

And in round six, Bayless stopped the fight as both boxers refused to heed the his warning over not using foul language. That is when Gotti swung after the bell, which caused the subsequent brawl.

In the aftermath of the brawl, the incident raised many talking points.

In response, Gotti was suspended for six months.

“The DBPR Florida Athletic Commission took immediate action the evening of Sunday, June 11, and suspended John Gotti III for six months,” Florida Department of Business and Professional Regulation
