The UFC Flyweight division features Brandon Royval vs. Manel Kape in a five-round main event this Saturday at the UFC APEX in Las Vegas, as pros picked their winner.

Royval is looking to bounce back after a hard-fought loss to Joshua Van at UFC 317 in June. That defeat snapped an impressive two-fight win streak that included victories over former champion Brandon Moreno and the Tatsuro Taira. A decisive victory here is crucial for him to re-insert himself immediately into the championship conversation at 125 pounds.

Meanwhile, Kape enters the main event on the strength of back-to-back wins over Bruno Silva and Asu Almabayev. This is Kape’s second UFC main event, and he views the highly-ranked Royval as the necessary stepping stone to the top five. Kape has beaten his last two opponents with wins over Bruno Silva and Asu Almabayev.

“I’m the same fighter, and even better when the rounds go up and up. So, for me, fighting five rounds is fighting on my terms, and I’ll take the opportunity. But, if (he) makes any mistake in the first round, I’ll make him pay,” Kape said

Any time a money line comes out, I think I’ve been a favourite against Matt Schnell and never again in the UFC. My whole entire career it’s been that way.
