Brandon Moreno Vs. Lone’er Kavanagh Predictions – ‘He Is Better’

Brandon Moreno faces Lone’er Kavanagh in a clash of two flyweights this Saturday, as pros picked their winner.
The first Mexican-born champion in UFC history, Moreno, enters the cage following a tough loss. Moreno suffered a second-round TKO loss to Tatsuro Taira, marking the first time in his professional career that he was stopped. Prior to the Taira fight, Moreno had looked imperious, racking up back-to-back victories over Amir Albazi and Steve Erceg.
Meanwhile, Kavanagh’s unblemished record was snapped last August at UFC Shanghai, where he fell to a second-round knockout against Charles Johnson. Before that loss, Kavanagh had looked impressive, securing impressive wins over Jose Ochoa and Felipe dos Santos.

Pre-Fight
“He’s young; he’s the new blood of the division,” Moreno said of his opponent. “He’s gonna come super-motivated — he’s coming from a loss, so that puts something inside of your soul. He’s gonna try to prove to himself and prove to the UFC he’s ready for the biggest stage, and he’s gonna try to do the opposite here in Mexico City, but I’m ready. My motivations and my goal for 2026 is being active. I want to fight as soon as possible after this one. Obviously, I’m giving all the respect to Lone’er; I know he’s gonna be a good challenge for me. He’s super-explosive, gonna come super-motivated and super-excited to get the victory,” Moreno said
“Me and my team have worked really hard. I enjoy every moment in there, (so I) just go and enjoy it. I’m always looking for a finish and that’s what I’ve come here to do. It’s gonna feel amazing. I’ve said it time and time again, I’ve prayed for moments like this, I’ve prayed for opportunities like this, so when they come about, I’m taking them and I’m gonna make it work. For me, I like to take it one fight at a time. I’ll go back with the coaches after, discuss what’s next, but like I said, I wanna get to the top as quick as I can, so whatever is next, I’m willing to do,” Kavanagh stated
