Bookies Humiliate McGregor, Label Him An Underdog Against Logan Paul

Conor McGregor has been left humiliated after the bookies put him as an underdog in a Logan Paul fight.
McGregor recently confirmed that he is in talks to box Logan in an exhibition in India. That is a far cry from the man who is a two-weight UFC world champion. McGregor’s UFC career is at a crossroads. He has not had a UFC fight since UFC 264 where he lost to Dustin Poirier. That was in 2021, as he suffered a broken leg, taking his record to three losses out of his previous four fights. McGregor recently withdrew from his Michael Chandler fight, which was set for UFC 303. He confirmed that he suffered a broken toe, meaning that he could not make the bout.
He then announced he would be fighting Dan Hooker on February 1 in Saudi Arabia. However, the UFC failed to confirm that, meaning McGregor’s next UFC bout is uncertain. The Irishman has also been ordered to pay Nikita Hand damages after she filed a civil sexual assault lawsuit claiming that he sexually assaulted her in a Dublin hotel room in 2018. Logan Paul has had four boxing fights in his career. He has boxed KSI twice, Floyd Mayweather in an exhibition and Dillon Danis, where the latter was disqualified.
The Odds
The rumors of a bout with topurio are false. I am in preliminary agreements with the Ambani family to face Logan Paul in a boxing exhibition in India. [And] I have agreed. I will then seek my return to the Octagon,” McGregor said
Meanwhile, McGregor’s only boxing bout came in 2017 when Mayweather stopped him in the tenth round. Paul has also been much the busier fighter, as he regularly fights in WWE. The bookies have now responded by making Paul a favorite. The betting company SportsBetting.ag has Paul at -150, while McGregor is at +120. A $150 winning bet for Logan gets you $100. A $100 winning bet for McGregor gets you $120.
McGregor has also faced the brunt from UFC Featherweight Champion Ilia Topuria. Topuria is coming off a knockout win against Max Holloway at UFC 308. That was the first defense of his featherweight title after he had stopped Alexander Volkanovski at UFC 298 to win the belt. McGregor recently ruled out a Topuria fight, claiming that Logan Paul was the aim. Ilia has now responded by stating he has no interest in facing McGregor. He also made it clear that McGregor’s recent civil lawsuit does not make him an attractive proposition.
Topuria Reacts
“The rumours of a bout with mchicken are false. I don’t fight nor am I interested in fighting with a rapist,” Topuria stated
If the McGregor-Paul fight does not happen, it is difficult to see where Conor goes next. He faces a battle to salvage his image, which has been crucial to him getting big paydays. While McGregor has enough finances to keep himself secure, the damage to his legacy is another matter.
