Bill Haney Responds To Shakur Posting A Leaked Clip, Prograis Slams Haney

. Devin Haney’s father, Bill Haney, has responded to Shakur Stevenson posting a clip of him by releasing his very own in response.
Stevenson was involved in a back-and-forth with Devin in which he responded by posting the following video below. It appears to imply that the Haney’s moved up to 140 in order to avoid Stevenson, who would have proved a tough opponent.

“If it’s too hot at 30, we’ll go to 40,” Bill Haney
Bill Haney Responds
Naturally, that did not paint Devin in a good light. After all, he had made an offer of 25 percent to Shakur for the fight. As such, there were suggestions that a low offer was made simply in order to avoid making the fight.
Although that may have been the case, it appears that Bill has responded with his very own video. In the clip below we can see that Haney and Stevenson have been sparring. Thereafter, Bill can be heard saying ‘lets box’ to which Stevenson replied: “I’m tired.”
The exact nature of the context is not known, but what it does show is that the Haney’s are trying to limit the damage that has been done to their reputation by implying that it was Shakur who came out second best in any sparring that had occurred.
These posts are only going to heighten the demand that is needed for the pair to get a fight on. And given the bad blood that has been emerging, it is only a matter of time before both fighters decide to settle it in the ring.
But before that can happen, Bill Haney appears keen on setting the record straight as he responded to Shakur’s leaked clip.
Bill Haney Slams Shakur
“Are they wearing wires? What’s going on?…That was over four years ago. We’ve never been at 130lbs, I was talking about him [Shakur]. If we move up to 140lbs and 140lbs is hot, then he can move up from 130lbs to 140lbs. Hot meaning the fight is hot.
“If the fight is hot, go to 140lbs and fight. We never said we wouldn’t fight Shakur… Today I’m on Shakur’s ass. He’s a fraud, he’s a fake. He’s around here recording motherf***ers,” Bill Haney
Prograis On Haney
In addition to this, Regis Prograis has also turned up the heat on Devin Haney. The ‘Dream’ had moved up to 140 in order to fight for Prograis’ WBC belt.
Although that may have been the case, Haney has yet to sign his side the agreement despite Prograis having done so.
Therefore, there were suggestions that Haney was looking to avoid the fight. This was even if he clarified that the delay was due to the venue not being agreed. But now Regis has stated that he has been left in the dark over the fight.
“Listen, bro. I did my part. That’s all I’ma say ‘I want the fight.’ I did my part, there’s nothing else I can do. It’s literally nothing else I can do to get this fight made. On my end they told me it was only on me, they said ‘Look, you the last piece. After you sign this fight is a done deal, this fight is made.’
“Now I signed, and come to find out he didn’t sign his part. So if Bill (Haney) is watching, I did all my part. Obviously I want to fight your son. I told his son I’ma fuck him up. After my fight Bill had him on FaceTime and I said ‘I’ma beat your ass,” Prograis
Ultimately, if the fight does not get signed, then Haney’s next fight may not be against a stellar name. After having been stripped of his WBC belt at 135, he avoided facing Shakur.
And now if a fight with Prograis cannot be made, then the only other mega fight on the table would be against Teofimo Lopez at 140 who holds the WBO belt. Time will tell how it all plays out moving forward.
