Beterbiev Vs. Smith: Where To Watch Info
Artur Beterbiev and Callum Smith face off from Quebec City, Canada, on January 13th in a light heavyweight clash.
Beterbiev defends his WBO, WBC and IBF belts in the hope of facing Dmitry Bivol for undisputed. Bivol has signed his side of the agreement, leaving the pressure on Beterbiev to emerge victorious. Deontay Wilder and Anthony Joshua had signed a two-fight deal, only for Wilder’s loss to scupper those plans. Beterbiev will be looking to avoid doing the same.
Smith’s only loss was against Canelo Alvarez. He has bounced back since then with two wins on the bounce. He has been out of the ring since 2022, with questions about whether inactivity will play a part.
In chief support, the WBO bantamweight champion Jason Maloney faces Saul Sanchez. He will make the first defense of his title after beating Vincent Astrolabio via a major decision. Sanchez has won his last two fights, beating RV Deniega in his previous bout.

“One category lower he was champion. First of all, he’s coming up to our category. 175lbs is 175lbs and we’ll see what happens there. Maybe in the lower category, he’s good there but here it’s 175. After we can say how is he. We’ll see. We’ll see. Like all my opponents, he’s a good boxer. He’s a good fighter, a good challenge for me.
“Like everyone. I try to be ready for this challenge 100 per cent, like usual. I know he will bring everything for this fight and I bring everything for this fight. And we will see who is better. I try to do my job. The best way that I can and that’s it. I’m not focused for the knockout or something else. For example in camp we do a couple of strategies. We have a couple of strategies for the fight,” Beterbiev revealed
“He’s a big puncher but nothing in my career so far shows that my chin’s a bit suspect or anything like that. Touch wood, I’ve never been hit or hurt or dropped as a professional. I’ve always been very confident defensively. I believe I’m pretty tidy and I can stay quite tight. I know the dangers. [And] I just think I catch him before he catches me and I can get rid of him. I genuinely do believe I’ve got the style to beat him. It’s no easy feat and I know I’m the underdog going in,” Smith said
