Beterbiev And Bivol Trade Words In Their Kickoff Presser

Artur Beterbiev and Dmitry Bivol held their kick-off presser as fans prepare to see the Undisputed Light Heavyweight Championship.

The fight takes place on October 12, and the winner will become the best light heavyweight of this era. Beterbiev will put his WBO, WBC, and IBF belts up against Bivol’s WBA title. Beterbiev is undefeated, with a 20-0 record. He has a 100% knockout rate as he enters the fight with a stoppage victory against Callum Smith. There were concerns over Beterbiev’s physical condition after he pulled out of the Smith fight before eventually facing him.

He did the same against Bivol, as the fight was initially meant to happen in June. However, Beterbiev suffered a knee injury which required extensive treatment. Bivol enters the fight with a victory against Malik Zinad, which took his record to 23-0. Beterbiev’s biggest victory in his career has been against Canelo Alvarez. But Beterbiev is a totally different animal.

Bivol faces the challenge of someone who has never gone the distance. Expecting Bivol to knock out better Beterbiev is a tough task, especially since he may risk getting stopped himself. Beterbiev’s high knockout rate is likely to go up against Bivol’s boxing IQ. Beterbiev has hinted that he could move up to cruiserweight if he comes out with a win. Meanwhile, Bivol could also do the same or stay at the weight class to target a lucrative rematch with Canelo Alvarez. The two fighters were prepared to go to war as they had plenty to say.

Beterbiev vs. Bivol

“It’s top of the meaning in boxing when you have four belts, and that’s it. I want to win a fourth one. “Every opponent is different. Every person is different. But we have prepared for this fight, to be ready for everything. Yes, because I always do preparation for 100 per cent, half is not for me. I never [make a] prediction. What happens happens. I’m more focused on different details, to prepare and to do good things,” Beterbiev

“I wanted the undisputed fight, first, and I wanted to fight against the best boxers in the light heavyweight division. This is my goals to make my name. He has these belts. This is my goal when I came to pro boxing, to be the best in the light heavyweight division and this is the final fight to prove myself. What it means for me? I’ve been in boxing since I was six years old. I sacrificed so much in my life. This is the final step. Did I do everything right or not? I want to make it that I did everything right,” Bivol
