August 2023 Boxing Schedule

2 years

August 2023 has plenty of boxing fights to keep the fans entertained in what has been a strong July month.

Following the two mega fights last month, August will have a lot to live up to. Fans had just seen Errol Spence and Terence Crawford face each other, as the latter stopped the truth in the ninth round.

And in the process of doing so, Spence was put on the canvas three times as he walked out victorious.

Prior to that, Naoya Inoue stopped Stephen Fulton in the ninth round to become the undisputed super-bantamweight champion. As a result, Inoue became a division champion.

The key fights this month will be as follows. Anthony Joshua aims to rebuild following his losses to Oleksandr Usyk as he takes on Dillian Whyte on August 12th, 2023.

Victory will keep up Joshua’s hopes of facing Deontay Wilder in a potential super fight in Saudi Arabia.

Meanwhile, can Callum Smith dethrone Artur Beterbiev at light heavyweight, as the latter has a 100 percent ko rate.

And lastly, Usyk must beat Daniel Dubois to retain his unified heavyweight titles and keep the undisputed dream alive.

This month, therefore, will have to deliver in a month where fans have been treated. With that being said, let us look at the biggest fights this month.
