Arman Tsarukyan Apologizes To The UFC – ‘I’m A Good Boy’

Arman Tsarukyan has apologized to Dana White and Hunter Campbell, as he chases a title shot.
Arman watched Justin Gaethje beat Paddy Pimblett on January 24, as The Highlight became the interim lightweight champ. The victory means Justin is a step closer to facing the full champion Ilia Topuria. That was hard for Arman to stomach since he is the number one lightweight contender. However, his behavior has not helped matters. The UFC leadership has been vocal about the “lack of trust” preventing Tsarukyan from securing a championship shot.
The most damaging incident occurred in early 2025 at UFC 311, when the top contender withdrew from a headline title bout against Islam Makhachev with only a day’s notice. Although the official reason given was a back injury, there were suggestions that the promotion’s frustration was actually rooted in Tsarukyan’s poor management of his weight cut.
This volatile behavior was also evident during the milestone UFC 300 event in 2024. During his entrance to the Octagon, Tsarukyan became physically aggressive with a member of the audience, leading to a confrontation. Consequently, the Nevada State Athletic Commission handed down a $25,000 fine and a significant suspension.
Arman Reacts
The most recent strike against his title aspirations happened during UFC Qatar in November 2025. During the ceremonial face-offs, Tsarukyan struck opponent Dan Hooker with a headbutt, an act that Dana White explicitly cited as a deciding factor in skipping Tsarukyan for the recent interim title match at UFC 324. Now, Arman has said he has changed his ways.
“Dana and Hunter, forgive me. Give me title fight. I’ll be a good boy; I am a good boy. I’m not gonna hit anybody anymore… For the weight cut, or the punching back, or the headbutting anybody, it’ll never happen again. But I’m going to fight, if someone tries to slap me, what can I do? I’ve got to slap him back, right?,” Tsarukyan said
