Are The Paul Brothers Fighting Each Other?

Jake Paul and Logan Paul have been linked with a boxing fight for March 27 via HBO Max. 

The Paul brothers have made an impression in combat sports in different areas. Jake is coming off a win against Mike Tyson in a fight that broke several records. It became the most-viewed boxing match on stream, earning Jake a reported $40 million. Jake’s only loss came against Tommy Fury, as he has won his last five fights. Logan has a 1-1 boxing record.

He has had an exhibition against Floyd Mayweather and got a disqualification win against Dillon Danis in his last bout. But since then, his focus has been on WWE. Recent reports indicated that Logan could box Conor McGregor in an exhibition in India. It was alleged that each fighter could earn $250 million. Talk of that fight has now died down, as Jake shared the following image suggesting the two brothers could fight.

It still remains to be seen if the pair will fight each other. It would be a massive risk that one person’s brand would suffer. Jake would be seen as the favorite since he has more boxing experience. He has faced former MMA fighters while also facing off against a professional boxer. Meanwhile, Logan has flirted in and out of boxing by choosing to focus on WWE. Jake has previously said that he would be willing to fight Logan. The fight could arguably earn the two brothers the biggest purses of their careers.

“I’m OK with fighting my brother because I wouldn’t have to be the one that dealt with losing. Seriously. Emotionally, if that would scar him, then he shouldn’t do it. But if he’s going to sign up, I don’t have to be the one to lose. Which also plays into it a little bit,” Jake said 

Will It Happen?

Nevertheless, Jake’s last fight against Tyson had some issues. Mike entered into the fight with a compression sleeve on his knee, showing he was not a 100 percent. Tyson also later admitted that he blanked out during the fight. There is a perception that a Logan fight may not live up to the hype.

“I don’t remember the fight that much, I kind of blanked out a little. I remember coming back from the first round, and Jake is doing some kind of, I don’t know what he was doing [a bow]. That’s the last thing I remember. I don’t remember [the fight]. But my body was really sore [afterward]. My chest, and my stomach was really sore… The day after I woke up, I said to my wife ‘Why did I do that?’. I just don’t know what the hell was going on,” Tyson stated 

That suggested that Tyson never had a chance of winning, while the Netflix stream also suffered many issues. However, it showed that Paul could hold events that transcended the sport and crossed over to the casuals. However, sources claim that it will be a reality series rather than a boxing bout.
