McGregor And Lobov Settle Their Lawsuit
Conor McGregor and Artem Lobov have reached a private settlement, averting a trial just as it was scheduled to begin.
The lawsuit centered on Lobov’s claim that he was entitled to a 5% share of the proceeds from the Proper No.12 whiskey brand’s sale, based on a 2017 verbal agreement with Conor. McGregor and his partners sold a majority stake in Proper No. 12 for an estimated $600 million. Lobov allegedly sought a roughly $30 million payout
Proceedings at the High Court were briefly adjourned Wednesday morning before Andrew Walker, representing Lobov, informed Judge John Jordan that the matter had been resolved. While the financial terms remain strictly confidential, a signed settlement agreement was formally submitted to the court.
The Reaction
Lobov told reporters he was “happy” with the outcome. Although McGregor was not present, his barrister Mark Lynam read a statement on his behalf that immediately shifted focus back to his fighting career.
“I am satisfied this matter has been resolved and I can focus on my training and this summer’s fight. I want to thank Artem for his hard work for my whiskey business,” Lynam said
